conference "Saaremaa and Hiiumaa island on the old maps", held at the Saaremaa Museum in July, 31st 2009, how to determine the age of the ancient stone walls on base of topographic contour lines (showing elevation today and accordingly coastline of the past millennia, because of the well known fact that the surface of Saaremaa island is rising approximately 2,5 mm a year). |
